In addition to the monthly meetings with coffee and a speaker, there are social events such as quiz nights and whist drives, to which our ladies, including widows of deceased members, are invited.  There is also a walking group which meets on the first Thursday of the month at 9.15am, the venue of which is announced at the previous meeting. Annual membership £15.

(There are similar clubs in Stapleford, Bramcote, Beeston, Attenborough, Wollaton and Long Eaton – and also a separate ladies club in Long Eaton, but ours is essentially for Sandiacre. There is no residential qualification, however, and several members live outside Sandiacre.)

Sandiacre History Group

Currently meets six times a year, 7.30pm Thursdays at Sandiacre Methodist Church Hall, Butt Street, Sandiacre with speaker or slide show on topic of local interest (see Community Notice Board for forthcoming dates).  Founded in 2000.

An association where members can purchase seeds, compost etc at discounted prices. Membership costs £2 pa and new members must live in Sandiacre or Risley.   The Association owns and operates the Stanton Road Allotment Site.

Meets 1-3pm every Wednesday, term time only.

Age birth to 3 years. (4 year olds if with younger siblings)

£2.00 plus 50p per each additional child over 12 months, including refreshments. Entry updated 7.5.2014

The Stute Bowls Club

Interested in playing flat green lawn bowls? The Stute Bowls Club would like to encourage new and existing players to try out the sport or get back playing. Anybody can have a go, young or old. Our warm and friendly members will guide you through how to play the sport and make you feel at ease whilst you learn a new skill. Coaching sessions will be by arrangement between you and the coach. Our outdoor season is from April – September come rain or shine. There is ample free parking on site and the 20 & 21 Trent Barton Bus service pass nearby.
